Renowned American R&B group Shalamar will headline a major concert in Abuja on Oct. 4 as part of Nigeria’s 65th Independence celebrations.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the event will hold at the International Conference Centre and is promoted by iCreate Africa in collaboration with First Culture Limited.
Fans can expect a nostalgic evening of timeless hits including A Night to Remember and I Can Make You Feel Good. Bright Jaja, CEO of iCreate Africa, described the show as “a long-overdue gift to a vibrant community of music lovers who have carried their legacy for decades.”
Shalamar’s Howard Hewett, Carolyn Griffey and Jeffrey Daniel expressed excitement about performing again in Nigeria, with Daniel promising “a night to remember.” Tickets are available at select Abuja outlets.
The concert marks Shalamar’s first Nigerian performance since 1982, rekindling memories of their historic sold-out shows.
