Aguero to Arsenal?
Just two days ago was it revealed that Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero would be leaving the northwest club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The Argentinian forward left a message on social media thanking the supporters for their continued association with him and the journey that he had been on since arriving in England from Atletico Madrid.

Yet, his time in England could seemingly continue as surprising claims from Argentinian-based journalist Lucas Scagliola say that Arsenal have made ‘contact’ with the striker.

Aguero has worked with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta who was the assistant to Pep Guardiola for a number of seasons whilst the Argentine was at the club.
A move to Arsenal does seem unlikely considering information which ESPN has sourced suggests that despite legitimate interest from the Premier League, a move abroad is preferred by Aguero.
Guardiola on Aguero
For the first time since Aguero announced his impending departure from Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has spoken. ESPN Brazil published the interview with Guardiola talking about the Argentine forward where he lauded his impact on English football comparing him with the late great Diego Maradona.
“Maradona conquered Italy, Messi did it in Spain, and Aguero has done it in England, his numbers speak for themselves,” Guardiola said. “When you have that internal fire, play with that anger, his incredible talent comes out, he can win games on his own.”
“He is an extraordinary person, and we still have another month and a half to win things and score goals.”

Aguero could still be in line to win 4 more trophies this season with Manchester City involved in the League Cup final. In addition to City being the current standout favourites for the Premier League and FA Cup, combined with a last 8 Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.
