Five out of 11 sodomists who allegedly raped a 17-year-old boy at different intervals have been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command.
The remaining six suspects are currently at large, the police said.
The spokesman of Katsina Police Command paraded the victim and five of the arrested suspects before pressmen, Friday, at the state police headquarters.
While being interrogated on how he was abused by the suspect, the victim said one of them tied him up and threatened him with a knife.
He also alleged that one of the suspects drugged him by making him smoke excessively and had carnal knowledge of him.
The five suspects in the Katsina Police net confessed to having carnal knowledge of the victim through his anus but denied forcing him in the act.
“The Command has succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate of sodomists who at different intervals had an unlawful carnal knowledge of a 17-year-kld boy, against the order of nature.
“Nemesis caught up with the following suspects:
“Ibrahim Amadu, Male 42 years of Sabuwar Unguwa GQUarters, Katsina.
“Saminu Abdullahi, male 25yrs of Farin Yaro Quarters, Katsina
“Jamilu Ibrahim, male 50yrs of Farin Yaro Quarters, Katsina
“Bashir Lawl, male, 30yrs of Gangaren Tudun Yanlihida Quarters, Katsina.
“Mohammed Sani, male, 30yrs of Saulawa Quarters, Katsina.”
“The victim alleged that one Ibrahim Amadu took him to a particular location in katsina where he threatened him with a knife, tied his hands with rope and had unlawful carnal knowledge of him against the order of nature.
“Furthermore, he mentioned that all the other suspects did
the same thing to him at different places and intervals.
The victim also mentioned six
other suspects who had unlawful carnal knowledge with him against his wish but are presently at Iarge.
“Investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting the other suspects,”
Gambo Isah said.
