A special operation between British and Spanish police has led to the capture of one of the UK’s most wanted men.
Mark Francis Roberts was detained by Spanish cops after being on the run for seven years.
Roberts, 29, was arrested on Wednesday (May 10) in Estepona, Malaga, in an intelligence-led operation involving the National Crime Agency, Guardia Civil and Merseyside Police.
He was discovered in southern Spain and was identified before being arrested by Guardia Civil officers.
Roberts, whose last known address was in Liverpool’s Fairfield area, remains in custody awaiting extradition proceedings, the Liverpool Echo reports.
