A disgraced priest has been jailed after he refused to open the door to ambulance workers following a “gay orgy” gone wrong.
Father Tomasz Zmarzły, from the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Angels, was locked up for 18 months following the incident which saw one participant overdose on erectile dysfunction pills. He was convicted of sexual offences, the supply of drugs and failing to provide assistance to a person in danger of loss of life or serious bodily harm.
Father Zmarzły hosted a small gathering at his apartment in Dąbrowa Górnicza, southern Poland, when a naked attendee keeled over having taken more than the recommended dose of the drug. A male prostitute, who was also at the party, called emergency services.
This prompted the priest to order him to leave. When paramedics arrived at the scene they found the sex worker outside the apartment but Father Zmarzły refused to let them into the property.
The medical staff called the police who were eventually let in. There they found the man unconscious and he was rushed to hospital, where he recovered and discharged himself.A source told local newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza: “The event was organised by clergy and was purely sexual. Its participants took potency pills.”
