A 400-level student at Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) in Ekiti State has been arrested for allegedly raping a male colleague.
A viral video on Tuesday showed the accused being taken away by police. The National Association of Ondo State Students and the FUOYE Student Union both issued statements distancing themselves from the accused, clarifying he is not a member or affiliate of their organizations.
They emphasized their commitment to a safe environment and promised necessary actions to ensure justice. The FUOYE Student Union reiterated that Oni Olalekan, also known as Asiwaju, is not associated with them.
