Man flies from NJ to Jacksonville to attack man with hammer over online gaming dispute

In a bizarre case of online gaming revenge, Edward Kang is accused of flying from New Jersey to Fernandina Beach, Florida, to attack a stranger he met through the game “ArcheAge.”

According to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, Kang armed himself with a claw hammer and flashlight before breaking into the victim’s home and attacking him in the head. The victim suffered severe injuries but is expected to survive. Kang reportedly told deputies that the victim was “a bad person online,” but the motive for the attack remains unclear.
