Court shuts down two companies linked to $9.6 Billion P&ID scam

An Abuja Federal High Court has ordered the closure of Trinity Biotech Nigeria Limited and Resorts Express Concept Nigeria Ltd, two companies linked to the alleged $9.6 billion P&ID Ltd scandal.

Justice Donatus Okorowo found the two companies guilty of money laundering offences and ordered their entire assets be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecuted the companies and their director, Mr James Nolan, a British national who jumped bail and fled Nigeria. The court declared Nolan wanted and ordered his arrest anywhere he is sighted.

The two companies are among over 30 companies associated with the $9.6 billion scam, with other suspects, including Corrado Fantoli and Giovanna Beccarelli, also declared wanted and arrest warrants issued against them.
