In a harrowing attack on a mining site in Zango City, Kogi State, two Chinese Nationals have been kidnapped while five security personnel have been killed. Residents of the area described the scene as one of intense chaos and terror, with the sound of gunshots reverberating through the hilly terrain.
According to eyewitness accounts, a group of heavily armed gunmen, approximately 20 in number, stormed the mining site at around 5 pm on Monday, terrorizing the community for nearly an hour. The victims, comprising of three vigilante members and two staff members of the mining site, were reportedly killed before the gunmen abducted the Chinese Nationals.
