Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has been killed.
The deceased, known as Chuchu, was reportedly killed at her Parkview Estate residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Wednesday morning.
A family source, who requested anonymity due to the family’s current state, stated she was killed the previous night, and her body was found outside her residence’s gate the next morning.
“It seems that new household staff might have been responsible and attempted to make it appear as though it happened outside.
“There are signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and in the compound. This was clearly their doing, and we noticed they were newly employed less than a month ago, and she was alone in the house with them.
“We all need to be extremely cautious, especially with new hires,” the source added.
Confirming the murder to PUNCH Online in a telephone conversation on Wednesday, the state command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the body has been recovered, and three suspects have been arrested in connection to her death.
