Three protesters were killed by security forces while trying to damage food storage facilities belonging to international NGOs in Potiskum, Yobe State.
The town is currently under a 24-hour curfew. The incident happened early Friday morning when the protesters ignored the curfew and targeted the facilities.
Several other individuals were injured and have been hospitalized. Funeral prayers for the deceased were held at the Emir of Potiskum’s palace immediately following Friday prayers.
