Rivers police arrest four, recover live ammunition and hard drugs

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command from the Hawk Unit have arrested four male suspects in connection with criminal activities in Oyigbo Council of the state.

The suspects, identified as Peter Victor, Joshua Ibe, Shedrack David, and Joseph Acholam, were apprehended during a targeted raid at Blessing Street, Kom-Kom in Oyigbo.

According to a statement released by SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, a search of the suspects led to the recovery of one round of 7.62×51mm live ammunition and containers with liquid substances suspected to be hard drugs.

Iringe-Koko noted that the suspects have confessed to being part of a criminal syndicate responsible for various acts of terror in Oyigbo and its surrounding areas.
