Ibrahimovic claims Mino Raiola wanted to "kill him" after Man Utd transfer post

Legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that his agent Mino Raiola “wanted to kill” him after he prematurely announced his transfer to Manchester United.

The AC Milan veteran joined United on a free transfer back in 2016 for an 18-month spell, scoring 29 goals in 53 games in all competitions.

Ibrahimovic had just enjoyed the most prolific season of his career with Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 50 goals across the board.

But having opted to move on, the Sweden international joined Jose Mourinho’s United on a one-year deal and was handed the no. 9 shirt.

However, his announcement was less than smooth from United’s point of view, with a delay causing an impatient Ibrahimovic to break the news himself on Instagram.

Writing in his new book Adrenalina, made available by Aftonbladet, he admitted that he grew tired with all the talk and decided to announce the transfer, much to his agent’s annoyance.

“In fact, I’m going to go on Instagram and write, ‘My next club will be Manchester United’. I was so tired of the negotiations that I didn’t think Manchester [United] was listed on the stock exchange,” the 40-year-old wrote.

“You may not make similar announcements if the matter is not clear. All hell broke loose. Mino wanted to kill me…
