A heart-warming story involving Roy Keane has gone viral on social media after a doctor spoke of a ‘Christmas miracle’.
Keane earned legendary status at Manchester United for leading the club to win multiple major honours under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former midfielder moved into management after retirement, but he now currently works in punditry. Keane is often considered as box-office entertainment on punditry duties, as his persona on the pitch has transferred to TV and he’s not afraid of the truth.
But there is another side to Keane that the public doesn’t get to see as he’s known to support various different charitable causes.
Dr Niamh Ni Loinsigh has posted a video in appreciation for Keane across her social media accounts that has revealed a heart-warming story in which the United legend visited a children’s ward unannounced 20 years ago in Ireland to try to boost spirits.
The doctor recalled caring for a very sick child and she explained how Keane helped.
“It came to a point where we weren’t really sure if they were going to make it,” Dr Ni Loinsigh recalled…
