Gabriel Jesus Shows Progress Following Injury Layoff
Former Man United defender Gary Neville has predicted that Arsenal will finish third in the Premier League title race this season. It comes amid a fiercely contested battle to end the campaign with silverware once again, with Manchester City and Manchester United involved.
The Gunners have been the standout side of the league so far, leading the division with 57 points from 24 matches played. Their current lead over second place City sits at two points with one game in hand, though that was a larger advantage that has been chipped away at in recent weeks.
“I think there are more teams involved,” Mikel Arteta said last week on the title race, hinting at the fact it isn’t a two-horse race between him and Pep Guardiola. A resurgence at Old Trafford has taken place over the last year, with Erik ten Hag’s new era finally underway.
The Red Devils are third in the table, six-points behind their city rivals and trailing eight off of the Gunners, with plenty of games left to play and a Carabao Cup under their belt. With the title race heating up, many people and pundits alike are trying to predict exactly how the final table might look come late May.
