Manchester City’s superstar Erling Haaland left Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher in fits of laughter on Tuesday evening with a cheeky quip.
Haaland was the man of the moment at the Etihad Stadium as City looked to book their tickets to the Champions League quarter-finals. Pep Guardiola’s side had left Germany with a 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig, but they were back to their best in the second leg stuffing their opponents 7-0.
The big Norwegian was on target five times as City brushed aside the German side with apparent ease. And after the full-time whistle, Haaland was quick to make a cheeky dig at Richards and Carragher.
Speaking on CBS, Haaland said: “It’s an amazing feeling, I think you [Thierry Henry] are the only one that knows how to score a lot of goals!”
Carragher and Richards were left in stitches, before Carragher finally composed himself joking: “What a start!” And the Liverpool legend then shared the clip on Twitter with the caption: “@ErlingHaaland letting myself & @MicahRichards know how poor we were in front of goal!”
