Mark Goldbridge admitted he has “run out of patience” with one Manchester United player after the club’s draw with Sevilla.
On Thursday United squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag’s men were cruising at halftime after Marcel Sabitzer’s brace put the club in control of the tie.
However, a calamitous end to the game saw United concede two late own goals, courtesy of Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire, while the club’s first-choice centre-back pairing Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane were both forced off with injuries.
Having been in complete control, a depleted United now have to get a positive result when they travel to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium next Thursday.
And though a few United players have been skewered in the media following the capitulation, prominent United Youtuber Goldbridge reserved the brunt of his criticism for United striker Wout Weghorst.
Goldbridge on Weghorst
Speaking on The United Stand’s Youtube channel Goldbridge admitted he had run out of patience with Weghorst, who came off the bench with half an hour of the encounter remaining.
The streamer said: “I’ve run out of patience with Weghorst. I know he’s a trier but I’ve run out of patience.
“You’ve got teams getting Joao Felix on loan, Gakpo, teams spending £200 to £300million in January and we’re getting Weghorst in on loan.
