Manchester City have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Leeds United to four points on Saturday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side returned to top spot on Wednesday night, as they responded to Arsenal’s win 24 hours prior with a 3-0 win against David Moyes’ struggling West Ham side at the Etihad Stadium.
Goals from Nathan Ake, Phil Foden, and a record-breaking moment from Erling Haaland moved Manchester City one-point clear of their Premier League title challengers, and now take on Leeds United before Arsenal kick another football this weekend.
Kevin De Bruyne was absent from that win on Wednesday night but watched his teammates cruise to victory from the Etihad Stadium, and the Belgian returned to first-team training this week, putting himself in contention for a feature this weekend.
Nathan Ake also completed his recovery by starting against the Hammers and avoiding any aggregation of his hamstring problem, in a significant boost to Manchester City and their upcoming chaotic fixture schedule – featuring a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.
Ahead of kick-off in east Manchester, here is how both Pep Guardiola and Sam Allardyce line up their respective teams!
