Vinicius is not alone, as the football world has thrown itself behind him in his fight against racism.
After the incidents at Mestalla, the Brazilian has received various messages from teammates and from other footballers of other teams.
Many non-footballers have expressed their solidarity with the Real Madrid forward too.
“We’re with you, bro,” was one of the most repeated lines among the many who posted messages on social media.
His teammates were among the first to back him, such as Antonio Rudiger, Karim Benzema, Aurelian Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Thibaut Courtois and Fede Valverde.
The very first Real Madrid player to comment was Dani Ceballos, as he spoke in the post-match interview immediately following full time.
“It’s nothing new, as Vinicius has been shown a lack of respect at stadiums across Spain,” he said.
“We need to protect him. I hope LaLiga can protect Vinicius.”
Meanwhile, Eder Militao wrote a longer message on Twitter to discuss the incidents.
“Today was another sad day here in Spain, another day that unfortunately the racists won” the centre-back said.
