Angry Arsenal fans have taken to Gift Orban’s Instagram Page to hit out at the forward after he said he doesn’t like the Gunners, PUNCH Sports Extra report.
Orban, in a recent interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, said he would prefer a switch to either Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool but ruled out a move to Arsenal, claiming that the London club don’t want to win titles.
The 20-year-old Gent forward has scored 20 times in 20 games in all competitions this season, despite having only moved to Belgium from the Norwegian second-tier in January.
Arsenal missed the chance to win the Premier League title this season after they allowed an eight-point lead slip, allowing Manchester City to win the EPL for a third consecutive season.
“The Premier League is my ultimate dream,” Orban said.
“Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City. I don’t really like Arsenal – it’s like they don’t want to win titles. Under Arsene Wenger, the club went 10 years without winning the league. They play and sell players – that’s it. I want to go somewhere, where they win prizes.”
His comments, however, angered Gunners fans, who insisted the 20-year-old goals scoring sensation couldn’t lace the boots of forward Eddie Nketiah.
@awetwedieri stated on Instagram, “You are 20 but can’t even score a goal for your country. Try looking at Saka, he played in the European Championship with England when he was a teenager.”
Ruby Alejandro wrote, “Bro, no one wants you here…I just checked your goals, you will fit better in Swansea City.”
@felix.drrs added, “You can’t even tie Eddie’s (Nketiah) boots.”
Devvratt Shah likened the attitude of the former Stabeak forward to Cristiano Ronaldo with the ability of Danny Welbeck.
