Chelsea forward, Chinonso ‘Noni’ Madueke has reacted to the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s manager.
It was Pochettino that forced Madueke out of Tottenham after the Argentine gaffer did not give him the opportunity to play.
Pochettino is back in London and will be unveiled as the Blues’ new manager at the start of this week, having signed a three-year contract.
The former Tottenham and PSG boss will be tasked with trimming a massively bloated Chelsea’s squad.
Madueke arrived in west London in a £28.5million deal from PSV in January.
He worked under Pochettino at Tottenham, where he spent four years in the club’s academy, but left due to lack of opportunities.
Asked about the Argentine’s arrival, Madueke said on Sunday: “I think he is a good manager.
“He has been in big places around the world and he was a great success in the Premier League. I am looking forward to working with and learning from him.”
