Manchester United have decided to put midfielder Fred up for sale, as per Jason Burt of The Telegraph.
Fulham are the party interested in acquiring the player’s services and as per the reports, it would only cost them £20 million to do so.
Having signed him from Shakhtar Donetsk for £52 million, his value has clearly dropped significantly partly because he only has one year left on his contract.
After the FA Cup final defeat Fred had said: “I do have to talk with Ten Hag as well, he’s the manager and the conversation has to involve everyone. We have to see how next season will plan out. I want to be important, I want to help the team, so we’ll see. But I’ve always been and still am very happy at Manchester United.”
He is reportedly open to joining Fulham and working with Marco Silva as he will not be offered a new contract at Man United.
Scott McTominay is another midfielder that is up for sale but his contract ends in 2025 so it isn’t a priority as of now.
