Mikel Arteta was recently charged by the Football Association for his comments in the aftermath of the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United.
Arsenal were dealt an unfair hand, thanks to VAR which literally handed the win to the Magpies.
Arteta was livid after the game and he called the decision a ‘disgrace’. Apparently, that was enough for the FA to charge Arteta but Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi appears to have escaped for his latest comments.
“I am honest and clear. I don’t like 80 per cent of England’s referees,” De Zerbi said bluntly during his media duties after Brighton drew 1-1 with Sheffield United.
“It’s not new. I don’t like them. I don’t like their behaviour on the pitch.”
De Zerbi has only escaped with a formal warning, which just shows the bias is actually among the FA itself.
