Manchester United are reportedly interested in 16-year-old Brazilian winger Estevao, a target for Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
A report from Fichajes has claimed that Manchester United will compete with Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to sign Estevao. Erik ten Hag is particularly keen on landing the 16-year-old wonderkid, and he is pushing the Premier League club to secure his services.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can beat the competition in the race for his services. Estevao is highly rated in South America, and he has a big future ahead of him. He could develop into a quality attacker for Manchester United with the right coaching and experience.
The opportunity to join the Premier League club will be an attractive option for him, and the Red Devils certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done. So, it is hardly surprising that Erik ten Hag wants Manchester United to sign the teenage sensation.
Manchester United could certainly use more quality in the wide areas. But they should aim for established players who can make an immediate impact. Signings like Jadon Sancho and Antony have not worked out for the Red Devils. Estevao would be a long-term investment and he will need time to adapt to English football and develop into a first-team player.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have a number of quality wingers at their disposal, and it will be interesting to see if Estevao can force his way into the starting lineup in the coming seasons. The 16-year-old will need to join the club with a clear pathway to the first team. So, a move to Stamford Bridge might not be ideal for him.
