Nollywood thriving, govt should get involved – Tobi Makinde

Nollywood actor and director, Tobi Makinde, has said government involvement in the Nigerian movie industry will keep the industry thriving and encourage the production of quality content.

The actor, in an exclusive chat with Midweek Entertainment, noted that there were a lot of professionals in the industry making things happen but there was a need to have more resources for quality driven production.

He said, “We don’t get the quality that we want because we don’t have enough resources. If we have those resources, we can build an entire film village and we won’t have touts disturbing us while we film.

“The government needs to encourage us by investing in the movie industry; there is a lot of potential and we have a lot of professionals making things happen but we need more investment to make things happen.
