Austin Butler’s emotional tribute to Lisa Marie Presley has gone viral in the wake of the singer’s shock death from cardiac arrest aged 54. Â
During Tuesday night’s Golden Globes ceremony, the 31-year-old won Best Actor, Motion Picture Drama for his starring role in the Elvis biopic.Â
The award winner, who had spent time with Elvis’s daughter Lisa Marie and wife Priscilla in order to embody the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, was quick to thank them in his acceptance speech.
The touching tribute saw Austin vow to love the ladies ‘forever’.Â
As the women broke down in tears, Austin said: ‘I also want to thank our incredible producers and Warner Bros and the Presley family.
‘Thank you guys, thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever.’Â
Video of the speech has now gone viral on Twitter, with grieving fans noting the significance of his words now.Â
