Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals ‘biggest payday in history’ was for ‘minor’ Hollywood role

Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed his biggest pay day in history – and it wasn’t for his role in The Terminator franchise.

The muscle-clad Hollywood star made his name as an action man over the last four decades.

But Arnie, 75, revealed he made a whopping $30 million (£24m) for playing chilling villain Mr Freeze in 1997’s Batman and Robin.

Thanks to a string of corny catchphrases like “allow me to break the ice”, and “cool party” – the Austrian Oak claimed to become the “highest-paid” Hollywood star in history.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was Batman & Robin where they gave me over $30 million. I became the highest-paid entertainer in the history of Hollywood.”
