Rhema Joseph Ahonis, a student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is set to begin his quest to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

Ahonis took to his social media earlier in November to announce the attempt.

The 27-year-old student disclosed that he will commence the five-day attempt on Saturday, November 25 at LAMP Studio in UNILAG, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.

The attempt is expected to end on November 30.

The 200-level Theatre Arts student, who doubles as a gospel singer, also called on Nigerians to support him.

Ahonis is seeking to break the world record set by India’s Sunil Waghmare 11 years ago.

Waghmare, who is from Nagpur, sang for 105 hours — from March 3 to 7, 2012.
