Oprah Winfrey has stunned her fans with her new slimmer figure after stepping out to another red carpet event.
The popular television personality was seen pouring her curves into a fitted purple dress as she attended the premiere of her new movie The Colour Purple. Oprah, 69, beamed as she posed for photos at the event, accentuating her glamorous look with her long hair worn in volumised waves and a dash of nude toned glamorous makeup to complete the look.
The outing was one of several this week where she has been promoting the new release. Oprah was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 1986 Academy Awards for her role as Sofia in the original version of The Colour Purple.
She’s now co-produced the remake of the film with Steven Spielberg, set to hit theaters on Christmas Day. The star, who has slimmed down considerably, recently shared her thoughts on weight loss drugs like Ozempic, which is typically used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults.
Speaking at a New York City panel for her Oprah Daily’s The Life You Want series back in September, she said: “I don’t know that there is another public person whose weight struggles have been exploited as much as mine. One of the things I carried so much shame for, and even when I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time I was going through knee surgery and I felt, ‘I’ve got to do this on my own because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out’.”
