Renowned social media influencer and commentator Daniel Regha has bravely come forward, revealing the harrowing ordeal of receiving death threats due to his outspoken views on various subjects, particularly on the platform X.
In a candid interview on the latest installment of Channels Television’s popular program, *Rubbin’ Minds*, hosted by the esteemed Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Regha opened up about the alarming escalation of threats he has encountered.
Regha disclosed that the intensity of the threats has reached a point where he feels compelled to disguise himself while venturing out in public, fearing the possibility of encountering adversaries from social media who might act on their threats.
“When I step out, I always wear a mask because I don’t know who might recognize me and decide to confront me,” he shared. “It’s a constant fear of being targeted.”
The severity of the threats has deeply unsettled Regha, with some individuals explicitly stating intentions to harm him if he is spotted in certain cities such as Lagos, Ibadan, or Benin. “They even go as far as using R.I.P emojis, alongside images of guns and axes,” he revealed, underscoring the chilling nature of the messages he receives. “It’s terrifying at times. But I rely on prayer and seek protection from God.”
When pressed on whether he identifies as a troll, Regha vehemently denied the characterization. “I’m not a troll. Definitely not,” he asserted, emphasizing his commitment to engaging in meaningful discourse rather than merely provoking controversy.
