U.S. rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs finds himself embroiled in a legal dispute as his former producer accuses him of coercion, alleging that he, along with Meek Mill and other artists, pressured them into engaging in homosexual activities in exchange for Grammy nominations and awards.
Rodney Jones, also known as Lil Rod, filed a 70-page lawsuit on Monday at the Federal District Court in Manhattan against Mr. Combs, outlining allegations of sexual assault, drug trafficking, hiring sex workers, and participation in various sexual acts. These allegations purportedly occurred while Lil Rod lived with Mr. Combs to work on his album.
Lil Rod claims to have produced nine tracks on Diddy’s latest album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” yet was only paid $21,000 despite spending 13 months at Diddy’s residence working on the project. He alleges that Diddy repeatedly groped his genitals without consent and exploited his admiration for Stevie J to coerce him into homosexual activities.
According to Lil Rod, Diddy showed him a video of Stevie J engaging in homosexual intercourse without protection, asserting that such behavior is common in the music industry. Lil Rod also alleges that he was given drinks laced with drugs to weaken his resistance to Diddy’s advances and was made to watch Diddy shower through a glass door.
Describing himself as a heterosexual Christian man, Lil Rod claims he felt uncomfortable with Diddy’s advances and reported them to Diddy’s Chief of Staff, Kristina Khorram, who dismissed his concerns by saying, “you know, Sean will be Sean.” Khorram purportedly downplayed Diddy’s behavior as a sign of affection.
In an attempt to entice Lil Rod, Diddy allegedly promised to secure him a Grammy award in the producer of the year category if he engaged in homosexual activities.
It’s noteworthy that in 2020, Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy announced Diddy as one of the executive producers for his “Twice As Tall” album, which won Burna Boy his first Grammy award in 2021. Burna Boy was also invited to perform at the Grammy Awards premiere ceremony in 2021.
“I Executive Produced his Grammy Award winning album Twice As Tall,” Diddy wrote in September 2023, expressing his admiration for Burna Boy and their collaboration on the album. “I’ve been blessed to work with incredible talent on this album. Me and my brother @BurnaBoy, we developed a brotherhood during quarantine,” Diddy added in his post on X.
