THE GUARDIAN
Popular Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro, has shared that she prefers Nigerian men.
The talented screen diva, who has carved a niche for herself in African cinema, opened up about her preferences during a lively conversation on Ghanaian TV show Showbiz 360, hosted by her colleague Majid Michel.
The conversation, which aired recently, saw Okoro, 40, share her thoughts on what makes Nigerian men stand out. According to her, it’s not just about their deep pockets but their ability to shower love and affection. “Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better. I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but love, affection is very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that,” she said with a smile.
Born in Tamale, Ghana, to a Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother, Okoro is no stranger to the cultural differences between the two countries.
