Chief Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has debunked the viral report that he was arrested and detained by the police in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
Reports had it that Rollas was arrested following his alleged role in the imposition of an unelected chairman on the Abia State chapter of the guild.
But in a telephone chat with our reporter, Rollas described the report as malicious, and unfounded, adding that he was the person that invited the police and not the other way round.
According to him, he was in Umuahia due to the death of his mother In-Law and decided to join the first meeting that was called by the interim chairman of the Abia State chapter of the Guild to encourage participation of all members.
