The Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has dismissed the call for healing by president-elect Bola Tinubu.
He alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is diabolical and does not mean well for Nigeria and Nigerians.
Tinubu recently called on Nigerians to forget about the pains, disappointments, and agonies that trailed the 2023 general election and embrace the process of healing.
Rhodes-Vivour while addressing journalists on Wednesday, said Tinubu’s call for healing cannot happen without justice.
He alleged that pawns, tools, and traditional rites were performed at night and during the day to invoke spells that Tinubu and his supporters used to keep Lagos bound.
“The APC unleashed evil on Lagosian, diabolically with their fetish rites and curses during the day, and physical violence against all Lagosians, yet they want the peace of a graveyard; they want the healing of the dead,” Rhodes-Vivour said.
He accused the APC leaders of raising ethnic tension because they were unable to run their campaigns on the strength of their accomplishments and claimed that the credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is questionable.
“We cannot afford to have an agberocracy – or a military type of government—that will use violence and diabolical means to create a one-party state. – from Ikoyi to Ikeja to Ikorodu, we were all disenfranchised.”
He added that there will never be a free and fair election under a Tinubu presidency and stated that the APC has tried to destroy years of balanced ethnic relations, years of inter-marriage and friendships, commerce, and building Lagos into the economic base of Nigeria.
