This blunder came just one small hour before he was set to take the stage at a vital presser to champion his bid for a second whirl at the top job.
The global meet-up was Biden’s shot at calming any jitters back home about whether he’s up for another four-year stint, especially after a recent verbal tangle in a debate that had some peeps questioning his presidential continuation. Not exactly known as a barnstorming orator, ol’ Joe has seen his latest squawk to smooth over mistakes fail to impress – but the seasoned politician is still ready to go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump and come out tops.
At this shindig in Washington, Biden was hell-bent on showcasing his top-dog status internationally while reaffirming the West’s bulldog grip of support for Ukraine. Particularly as the buzzards circle, what with folks casting gimlet eyes at the 81 year old’s energy levels and ability more than ever, it’s crucial times for Biden as he tries to hush the chatter within the Democratic Party and among the population about his chances this coming November.
