Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has said the ongoing National Sports Festival is a reflection of the country’s enormous strength in diversity.
The minister stated this after watching the Handball Men’s Final of the Festival between Lagos and Kano State held at the University of Benin Sports Complex.
Dare also added that Nigeria’s preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics has received further boost from the ongoing festival.
Kano claimed the Gold Medal ahead of Lagos in the Men’s Handball event, while Delta beat Host state, Edo for the Women’s Handball title.
