Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has raised the alarm that armed men numbering more than 150 have invaded the hotel where he lodged.
Media to the former governor, Lere Olayinka, made this known in a statement made available to Naija News on Monday.
Fayose alleged that the political thugs numbering more than 150 surrounded the hotel as delegates from Oyo State are being accredited for the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Congress.
The former governor also alleged that the thugs suspected to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State, came to the hotel in more than 10 buses.
He added that the thugs barricaded the entrance to be congress venue with a view to preventing other delegates apart from those from Oyo state from gaining access.
The former governor said it took the intervention of security operatives for the gunmen to leave the hotel located in Okefia Government Reserved Area (GRA) of the state.
Fayose added that Hon Ladi Adebutu, the leader of Ogun State delegates has also raised the alarm that his hotel is under siege by thugs.
