The Biafra Nations League, BNL has said the Biafra Republic cannot be achieved without the crisis going on in the South East and South-South.

In a joint statement on Friday, the National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, and Mr. Linus Essien, BNL Chief of Staff and the leader of Displaced Bakassi Peninsula Youths, said the crisis in the Biafran territory will only be resolved if the Nigeria government decides to allow a break up of Nigeria.

According to the group, Biafra was older than Nigeria as a large region in the Gulf of Guinea, suggesting that Biafra is ready to accept a roundtable dialogue via representatives capacity on how the economic interest of both countries would be protected.

They requested that the President Mohammadu Buhari government come up with a proposal as they did with Cameroon during ceding of Bakassi Peninsula where their interest will be well stated.

“BNL will discuss with other Biafrans to look into the Federal Government proposal and we may accept or reject, depends on our decision,” the group said

They admitted that separations by most countries in Africa have led to civil war due to economic interest, adding that Biafra is ready to consider any agreement on how to exchange goods for goods, natural resources for natural resources and so on.

They asked the Federal Government to send a proposal that contains the economic interest of both Nigeria and Biafra and that BNL and the rest of Biafrans are ready to negotiate over the economy.
