David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi, has asked security operatives to defend themselves against attackers.
The governor stated this on Friday, while receiving Joseph Egbunike, a deputy inspector-general of police (DIG) in charge of the south-east region.
A number of police officers and their facilities have been attacked within the past weeks.
