The Lagos State government says it has commenced the administration of the second dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Prof. Akin Abayomi, State Commissioner for Health, in a statement on Sunday, said the administration of the second dose of the vaccine which began on May 28 would end on July 9.
He said the programme was in continuation of Phase 1 COVID-19 vaccination that started on March 12.
Abayomi said 317,916 people were vaccinated with the first dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.
