Actor Simu Liu shared his feelings of unhappiness over TV sitcom Kim’s Convenience via his Facebook account on Wednesday. During the show, he felt there was lack of mentoring from the producing team. He also complained about the low pay for the cast even though the show was successful.
“The whole process has really opened my eyes to the relationship between those with power and those without,” he said. He was told the cast were supposed to be grateful to join the show, which made them too “scared to rock the boat”.
