Just days after the birth of their second child, named after Queen Elizabeth, Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have become embroiled in a spat with the BBC, along with a threat of legal action, over whether they had consulted the monarch first.
Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announced on Sunday the birth of daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
Her name, they said, was a tribute to Harry’s grandmother, the queen, whose family nickname was Lilibet, while it also honoured his late mother, Princess Diana.
