Thanks for aid but keep it coming, Sabah tourism players tell state govt


With tourism being a major contributor to the state and nation, stakeholders say they should receive a bigger share from any available funds.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah tourism players have welcomed the state’s Bantuan Prihatin Sabah (BPS) 3.0 but hoped the government will continue to help the industry through other initiatives.

Sabah Tourism Federation (STF) president Tonny Chew hoped those working in the tourism sector such as hotel frontliners and others would be prioritised in the state’s immunisation drive.

He said the war against Covid-19 is a long way from over, pointing out the industry needed all the help they can get from the authorities.
