New York City’s leading “defund the police” mayoral candidate helped silence police reform recommendations from her own oversight agency, according to a bombshell new report on Mayor Bill de Blasio’s jumbled efforts on the issue.

As head of the city’s Civilian Complaint Review Board in 2016 and ’17, Maya Wiley oversaw the removal of a police reform recommendation from a report on officers’ use of Tasers, ProPublica reported Friday.
