Illinois officer says she lost job protecting local high school over defense of thin blue line patch

Mount Prospect, Illinois officer Lisa Schaps told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday that she lost her job as a school resource officer after sharing her “authentic” and “vulnerable” defense of her badge and thin blue line patch, which local residents claimed was “divisive.” 

Schaps reportedly served as the school resource officer at Prospect High School. 

She explained that she spoke out about the thin blue line patches during a village board meeting on June 15th and then appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday where she did the same.
