The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) wants more details of the fatal shooting of Lagos-based lawyer, Bolanle Raheem.
The legal practitioner was killed on Christmas Day by a police officer attached to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah, Lagos.
NBA Publicity Secretary Habeeb Lawal condemned the incident, noting that the police were returning to days of brutality.
A statement by the spokesperson advised the security agency and others not to forget what led to the EndSARS protest, which shook the nation.
Lawal said NBA President, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau (SAN) was on top of the situation and reaching out to stakeholders.
He noted that the NBA had taken the initiative to uncover the facts surrounding the cold-blooded murder of its member.
The body of lawyers said it had informed the police of its resolve to be a complainant in the case along with Raheem’s family.
A team has been constituted with a mandate to follow up and ensure a speedy but thorough investigation of the alleged crime.
