BARCA UNIVERSAL

For a long time, the Nike logo has been inseparable from Barcelona’s jerseys, as the two institutions have built an alliance that defined a great era in football.

But now there’s a sense of tension in the air between both organizations as fractures are emerging and a split is beginning to look more and more plausible.

Barcelona and Nike on the verge of parting ways

Now, as per Adrian Sanchez Nike and Barcelona are on the verge of breaking their commercial relationship.

Previously, reports argued that the primary cause of the teetering relationship was due to financial reasons.

Barcelona feels that the current conditions of the agreement are significantly less than the market price.

Signed by Josep Maria Bartomeu, the deal between Nike and Barcelona, which expires in 2028, is worth approximately €150 million plus an additional €50 million.

Even so, Barcelona possesses the ability to opt out of the conditions of the agreement, which may help them land a replacement easily.

Moreover, the Catalan giants are not satisfied with the services being provided by the sports apparel supplier, including the quality of products and services to players.

In light of the worsening affiliations, the report further states that Puma are ready to make a ‘super offer’ to Barcelona to replace Nike as the shirt sponsor.

While New Balance are another company keeping a close eye on the situation, Puma has already shown significant interest and are prepared to make Barça the head of their brand.
