THE QUEST TIMES
Cameroon’s hopes in the Africa Cup of Nations took a hit as they bowed out with a 2-0 defeat against Nigeria. The turning point came when Fabrice Ondoa, standing in for Andre Onana, made a costly mistake that led to Ademola Lookman’s goal in the 36th minute.
Ondoa, who happens to be Onana’s cousin, couldn’t prevent a weak shot from slipping past him, putting Cameroon at a disadvantage. Nigeria sealed the deal with Lookman scoring again in the closing moments of the match.
In the midst of this, a viral clip showed the moment Lookman scored, with Onana observing from the sidelines. The question lingers if a different choice of goalkeeper could have altered the outcome.
