Explosion kills six teenage girls ni Zamfara Village

Six girls were said to have died as a result of hit by an explosion in a bush near Magamin Diddi Village in Maradun local government area of Zamfara state.

A resident of the village who pleaded anonymity said an object suspected to be bomb was found by the children in the bush and it exploded and them immediately.

According to him, the girls were returning from their farm and found the object on the ground, immediately they picked the object, it exploded and kill the six of them.

The spokesman of the Zamfara state police command, Superintendent Shehu and his Counterpart of Nigerian Army, Operation Sahel Sanity Colonel Iliyasu Suleiman says they have no knowledge of the incident.

Colonel Iliyasu further directed newsmen to reach out to the Defence Headquarters in Abuja for Clarification.
