Detectives searching for a ‘vulnerable’ woman who vanished three days ago have today found a body in woodland they believe to be her.
Sussex Police made an urgent appeal for help to find Amy Springer, 20, who was reported missing from her home in Hove, East Sussex, on Friday.
Officers searched the woods near Portslade Cricket Club in Benfield Valley, Portslade today, and have found a body which they believe to be her.

Sussex Police said: ‘Police searching for 20-year-old Amy Springer, who had been missing from her address in Hove since Friday evening (19 March), have found a body on Sunday morning (21 March).
‘The body was found in woods near Portslade Cricket Club in Benfield Valley.
‘Although formal identification is yet to take place the body is very sadly believed to be that of Amy and her next of kin have been informed. There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s officer is continuing inquiries.’
Multiple police cars were seen earlier in Sainsbury’s car park which backs onto Benfield Valley Recreation Ground.
Police have now left the area, which was cordoned off this afternoon. Detectives previously described Amy’s disappearance as ‘out of character’.
